Hashim is not anti-social, but he doesn’t necessarily go out of his way to get to know anybody. So, he may introduce himself to you two days after meeting you – don’t take it personal. Sometimes his wife has to pull him away from a book and make him eat. Hashim has packed five lives into his forty-something years. Hashim was born into the Nation of Islam and has an X on his birth certificate. That wasn’t enough so he became a 5%er at Howard University. That wasn’t enough either, so he became a healer and initiated priest of Ifa. In his spare time Hashim became a dedicated, meticulous, producer. His past multi-spiritual experiences give him an emotional maturity and self-control which is priceless in the high energy (fear) of film making. He can stay calm when others are losing their heads. Hashim loves martial arts. Hashim’s 2012 initiation into Ifa gave him the name Fanira Ogunleke Awoyade and he is committed to a life of good character and helping others to do so as well. In 2018 he was initiated into Ogun. People that love Fanira love him wildly. He is married to a singular and transcendent woman, (Iya Fayomi Trifari) and they have three angelic daughters. The family all lives in a magical house that floats on a cloud of love and artistry. His favorite animals are Tigers, Horses and certain people like Nick.
