The South African activist Steven Biko famously said, "I write what I like" It has always been a phrase that has repeated in my head. I've remixed to "I create what I like." The act of expressing myself in the way that I like, is freedom. 

My life's creative exploration has been shifted from the question, "Who am I" , to "Who are we." I am interested in the stories that tell a layered, nuanced, and challenging narrative about the Black experience.
