Karl Calhoun
Karl Calhoun
Producer – Goddess Black
Karl used to be a New York theater actor, which just means he’s spent several nights in the early 90’s eating .25c bags of chips for dinner, and a few sleeping in Tompkins Square Park. Then he moved to L.A., learned English, and began to wear shoes. He starred in a huge play depicting the Haitian Revolution and next thing he knew he had a Masters in Clinical Psych. and cared about the lives of others working to help them get along through difficult times. Now he works with veterans, the homeless and substance addicted and also some other critical public services. But later for all that, though. Pretty soon now, any minute, he’s gonna return to that Art Life, elementary school reasoning, soulfulness and eating rice-a-roni with his fingers. Dwain and Nick have convinced him that his wife Ruby will understand. Karl is a proud son of Howard University and his favorite animals are elephants and sea turtles.
