Corwin is a Colorado native who left to attend UCLA. Graduating in 2009 with an MFA in Sound Design, he now mostly works on new plays (when asked). Corwin won an LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for his video design of Plasticity, which was staged in the same space as Goddess Black. He has also been nominated for the same award for his work on The Art Couple at Sacred Fools, which will be remounted at the Kirk Douglas Theatre this March.

Having worked on dozens of solo shows, he finds it a peculiar art form unto itself, with a peculiar modality and set of tropes to experiment with. Corwin would be happiest working on new plays full of big ideas – sprinkled with all sorts of corollary art forms – for the rest of his life, but he's looking forward to his second life as a professor.
